Dr. David Sun

Hello, I am honored to know that you are considering our office as a dental home! I believe the doctor-patient relationship is one of the most secure and trusted relationships you can have. It is with this in mind that I would like to tell you a little about myself.
I grew up right here in Houston, Texas. Most of myimmediate family and friends are here, and although the summers can get pretty hot, I would never trade them for those cold northern winters – brrr! I graduated from Seven Lakes High School, graduating in the top 5% of my class. I then went on to receive my undergraduate degree from University of Texas at Austin, where I graduated with a major in biochemistry. After finishing my time at UT Austin, I moved to NYC to attend NYU College of Dentistry where I obtained my Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS). Being a Texas boy for the majority of my life, I knew I wanted to move back to my hometown and decided to settle down in Houston.
I am looking forward to meeting you, serving your oral health needs, and providing the excellent care that you deserve.
Dr. Rakhi Gelani
DDS
Dr. Rakhi Gelani completed her Doctorate in Dental Surgery (DDS) from University of Detroit Mercy, Michigan (UDM). Her philosophy is that patients should achieve optimum personal health by maintaining a healthy mouth. She makes sure that everyone who walks through the doors of her office should receive the most relaxing and highest quality dental care.
She is mostly known by patients for her caring nature and friendly personality. She is an active member of the American Dental Association and Texas Dental Association.
Dr. Gelani enjoys spending time with family. In her free time, she loves traveling and is fond of road trips, and trying out new restaurants all whilst spending quality time with family and friends.
ARACELY GONZALEZ
Office Manager
Aracely has seven years of experience as a chair side dental assistant and office manager. She is knowledgeable in insurance processing, flex accounts, financing options, and dental procedures. This allows her to assist all patients with scheduling appointments, updating necessary paperwork, and work with each patient to help them understand their insurance coverage.
Aracely lives in Arlington,Tx with her husband and three children. Aracely has been married to her husband Eddie for four years. When she isn’t working she can be seen on soccer fields and football fields cheering on her children.
VERONICA ZAVALA
Dental Assistant
Veronica Zavala is Ellis Dental’s Lead Dental Assistant. With nine years of dental experience, she ensures patients will be handled with the utmost professional manner. Veronica loves kids and when small children come to the dentist she greets them with a huge smile. She ensures all children are never afraid to come back to the dentist and loves introducing her best pal Dr. Patel. Veronica just recently got married to her best friend and high school sweetheart Alexander. She loves to go to the movies, the lake, and camping with her family. Veronica also plays volleyball and loves the Dallas Cowboys!
AMANDA VALADEZ
Dental Assistant
Amanda received her dental assistant certificate from Tarrant County College. Even though Amanda is a recent graduate she knew at a young age she was meant to help people smile. She enjoys helping Dr. Patel to treat patients with compassionate and preventative care. Amanda loves singing and joking with our patients in the dental chair. She uses this method to put our patients at ease. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, playing, and reading books with her son.
JANETTE HERNANDEZ
Scheduling Coordinator
Janette has four years of dental experience as a front office. She loves to help patients and go out of her way to make them happy. She will make sure the patients have the best experience as soon as they walk through the door. She educates our patients about Dr. Patel’s preventative approach. Her knowledge of dental insurance will help put you in financial ease. She lives in Arlington, Tx and she is a single mother of 3 children. When she is not at work in front of a computer she is in front of a big screen with her kids and she enjoys spending her time off with her children. She loves going to the movies, baking, shopping or just hanging out with her family.
